AAT announces tonnage throughput for June 2012

 

Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) announced that its tonnage throughput in June 2012 was 57,029 tonnes, recording a drop of 1% compared with the same period last year.


Export cargo registered 38,647 tonnes, a slight drop of 0.04% when compared with the same month last year. Import cargo volume for June was 17,832 tonnes, a rise of 1% year on year. Trans-shipment cargo volume was 551 tonnes, a reduction of 63% when compared against the corresponding period in 2011.


Cumulative export tonnage for the first half of 2012 was 233,194 tonnes, a slight increase of 0.1% against same period last year. Total import tonnage for the first six months was 105,344 tones, representing a 2% year-on-year growth. Trans-shipment cargo volume since the beginning of the year was 3,020 tones, a reduction of 47% against same period last year.
