AAT Welcomes Hong Kong Government Initiatives in the 2025-2026 Budget Enhancing Hong Kong’s Air Cargo Industry

Hong Kong, 4 March, 2025 – Asia Airfreight Terminal (AAT), a subsidiary of SATS Ltd, welcomes the initiatives outlined in the 2025-2026 Budget by the Hong Kong government, which are designed to support the sustainable growth and development of Hong Kong's air cargo industry.

Mike Chew, CEO of AAT, expressed his enthusiasm for the policies promoting the air cargo logistics sector, stating, “The initiatives, including the development of intermodal transshipment facilities, smart ports, logistics lands, as well as the drive for green and AI technologies, are crucial for the industry's future growth. The recent completion of Hong Kong's Three-Runway System has significantly enhanced our city's air cargo capacity, while the upcoming completion of the first phase of Dongguan's logistics park represents a key step toward regional integration with the Greater Bay Area.  At AAT, we are dedicated to supporting these efforts by leveraging our expertise in managing e-commerce, temperature-sensitive, and high-value cargo, contributing to the ongoing success of Hong Kong's air cargo logistics industry. We are committed to aligning with the government's vision by investing in AI technologies, automated systems, and electric vehicle fleets to foster a smarter, greener logistics ecosystem. We are confident that Hong Kong will continue to capitalize on new opportunities from both domestic and the global economic developments, and we have every confidence in Hong Kong's future."

AAT remains dedicated to collaborating closely with all stakeholders in implementing these forward-thinking policies, supporting the continued success of Hong Kong’s air cargo industry.
